Poker – a marathon not a sprint?

Ever wondered how long the longest ever game of continual poker lasted? Ten hours? A full day maybe? The answer is actually more than three days! Or, 74 hours to be precise. We came across this guy. His name is Dave Cain and he claims to have beaten the world record at a pub in Lincoln last month.
However, for anyone thinking of trying to break the record this weekend, it should be pointed out that playing poker for 74 hours on the bounce does have its side effects. At one point Dave says he was so tired he didn’t know where he was or what he was doing. He even had to be re-taught the rules of poker again from scratch. Now he’s poker hardcore!
