Disability Discrimination Statement
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 makes it unlawful for providers of services to the public to treat disabled persons less favourably for reasons of their disability. As providers of such services we at Stanley Casinos may have to make reasonable adjustments in relation to physical features of our premises and the services offered to ensure that we comply with the act.
During the forthcoming months Stanley Casinos will be investing heavily in its existing property estate with a major refurbishment programme to improve the facilities, comfort and playing experiences of our members and their guests.
Access Audits have been undertaken and as part of the refurbishment works, wherever possible the building and its facilities will be made compliant with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. The estate is a varied one with many of the premises being on floors other than ground or in buildings that are either listed or have a significant historical interest, these considerations are being accounted for and wherever possible lifts, ramps and other access equipment is being installed as part of the overall programme. Specific details and anticipated timings of the refurbishment proposals can be made available to interested members by contacting the Property Development Department. Contact details are shown at the bottom of the page.
Timings for the works are subject to the necessary statutory consents for alterations to the premises and will be done in a manner to minimise disruption to both members and staff.
In the meantime should you require any assistance or require further information please do not hesitate to contact a member of staff who will pleased to assist.
